Changed their name from Calvada. A walking course that affords the opportunity to those who want to play a quick round of golf and walk the course. An executive style layout, 5 par 4's and 13 par 3's, that is short - Par 59 for 3587 yards gives you an idea. Hey - there are NO sand traps and only 4 holes with water to contend with! But all-in-all a nice little course.

70. Pahrump - Mountain Falls -
Pahrump, NV. - Telephone - 1-866-457-0062, 702-577-2220
Designed by Cal Olson - Nine holes opened August 2002
A new course and community for the Pahrump Valley, was supposed to be opened sometime in 2001, but is delayed. They opened 9 holes in August 2002, so at least you can play that much. The back opened first, and when completed, the full course will be 7,250yds from the back tees (five different tees available) with four holes having alternate greens, just to increase the difficulty. From the front tees, the length will be about 5,200 yds. A par 72 layout, it will feature the equivalent of 15 acres of lakes and 15 acres of bunkers. That's a lot of trouble!! Three of the par 5's are 600 yds long with the par 3's ranging from 200yds to 150yds. A 30,000sqft clubhouse is planned. The full course is expected to open in the spring of 2003.

Formally the Calvada Country Club, on the 1st of May 2000, the name changed to Willow Creek Golf Course. Worth the drive, it is a good challenge to all players with good length from the back tees to test the better players . It has a lot of weeping willow, cottonwood and mesquite trees and several lakes (13 of the holes have water to contend with), - but only 18 sand traps - and narrow fairways highlight the layout. An easy course to walk if you so desire. Oh, did I mention bring a few extra balls? With all the water and the way it plays, you will need them.

This is the second 18 hole course for the Primm Resorts, and is adjacent to the Lakes Course. There are only 5 holes where water is even seen, but only three where it can come into play. It is a drastic contrast to the lush trees and river system of the Lakes course, but a challenge to all skills of play. The course is laid out in the desert area, and offer majestic views into the surrounding area of the desert and mountains. The course changes elevation more frequently than the Lakes course, and the fairways are more of a rolling - or undulating - nature. It would be a super day if you played one course in the morning, stopped for lunch, then played the other course in the afternoon.

The policy has changed so that you no longer must stay at their hotels to play the course. However, The Primadonna Resort, Buffalo Bill's Resort, & Whiskey Petes Hotel's offer some very attractive rates & golf packages that you might want to consider.
Awesome - the word continually used during the round with my foursome. In the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a dry lake bed of the Mojave Desert, sits this beautiful course. Playable for the average golfer, yet challenging for the skilled players. The fairways are wide and sloped inward. There are a lot of sand traps, and the emphasis is on well placed approach shots. Lots of pine trees, with rolling terrain and waterfalls to enhance the beauty of this course. It is in great shape for a course as young as it is. The greens putt fast and true but walk the line & let your feet tell you about the break. The whole course is just beautiful, and the views simply enhance the course. It is a soft spike only course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Before you start the round, the starter gives you tips of the day for hole locations, breaks of the green, a detailed yardage book, divot repair tool & ergonomic ball markers for each player. Now is that friendly or what? The clubhouse is completed and is very nice looking - of the old traditional style and look. I shot a great game ( for me on this type of course ) and enjoyed the round enough that we plan on many returns. A 2nd course, par 72 @ 7060yds ( named the Desert Course ) is also available, see above.

- Note on Course Rates -
The rates posted within these pages are as accurate possible and current when I contact the individual courses. I check with each course about 6 times a year to keep as current as possible. However, they can change without notice and just because the rates are posted on this web site, does not mean that is the rate they must allow you to play at. Please check with the course that you are interested in playing to get the latest rates for the time of year you will be playing.

I have summarized the courses by rates on the Rate Summary Page. This page will seasonally change and maintain a list of the courses by lowest to highest rates.
