Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas is no gamble
Located
17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, the Lake Las Vegas Resort is
a world away. Removed are the busy streets, bright lights and
the dizzying atmosphere — replaced with a tranquil, luxurious
environment around the 320-acre, sparkling centerpiece.
Located in the heart of the resort, the Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas Resort is one of Sin City's finest and most unique getaways.
The Ritz Carlton is set in a Mediterranean-style atmosphere, with lush Italian gardens. Beach and other lakeside sports are among the many activities on the waterfront. The resort has a 30,000-square-foot spa and fitness center for relaxation as well as 32,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space for business and entertainment.
Included within the resort is transportation throughout Lake Las Vegas, Internet access in each room and free use of computers in the hotel’s business center. Should guests still feel the need to get away and head to the strip, shuttles leave for the bright lights on a regular basis.
Nearly
350 luxurious rooms and suites await guests at the Ritz
Carlton, each with a panoramic view of the desert landscape and
mountain backdrop. Furnishings are complete with elegant comfortable
imported linens, spacious marble bathrooms, a separate tub and shower
and select rooms come with a secluded balcony.
A total of 65 luxury rooms are available on the Pontevecchio Bridge. Amenities in the rooms on this picturesque bridge are for club guests only and range from four food and beverage presentations each day, continental breakfast, cocktails and evening desserts.
Lake Las Vegas’ two championship courses both offer preferred rates to Ritz Carlton guests. The Falls Golf Club, designed by Tom Weiskopf, plays at 7,250 yards and features more than 400 feet of elevation change throughout the layout.
Water comes into play on five holes and dramatic scenery, complete with canyons and native arroyos, waits at every turn. The front nine is a traditional desert layout while the rugged back side makes up for most of the course’s elevation changes.
The
par-5 12th offers players one of the best views of the distant
Las Vegas strip that can be found anywhere. Lake Las Vegas’ other
gem is the Jack Nicklaus-designed Reflection Bay, which features
beautiful views of the lake and has three waterfalls to go along
with the challenging 7,261-yard layout.
A variety of dining options are available, including the Medici Café and Terrace, the hotel’s top restaurant and ranked among America’s “20 Best New Restaurants” by Esquire in 2003. Medici Café offers an elegant, relaxing environment with chairs covered in woven fabric and plush silks. European and Italian Renaissance art adorn the wall.
The intimate terrace has room for 35 guests and is set among the hotel’s lush gardens. The Firenze Lobby Lounge is a romantic, relaxing place to meet. Set with classic, Florentine art and comfortable furnishings, the atmosphere is topped off with an endless view of the lake and desert mountains.
For more casual outdoor dining, the Vita di Lago Pool and Gardens offers healthy cuisine including sandwich wraps, fresh fruit, fish and salads. However, their burger is among the best in Las Vegas as well and 24-hour room service is available for those who wish to bask in the resort’s comfort in the most intimate of settings.
