Rhodes Ranch sits in the southwest part of Las Vegas and the master-planned community originally was scheduled to have 5,000 homes and a Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole championship golf course, opened in 1997.

Three of the four par-3s bring water into play and the one that doesn't use water is long and has a bunker waiting behind the green for any shots that come in hot. Robinson himself has admitted this group of three-shotters are the best he's ever designed.

"On the par-4s and 5s you will have some very makeable shots," said Matthew Grobe, the Head Professional at Rhodes Ranch. "If you hit it in the rough here you're never out of the hole. The ball might hit a mound and roll back to the fairway or stick on the mound. You won't get yourself too far out of line. A bad shot doesn't get really bad."

Over six years old, the maturation process is complete at Rhodes Ranch and the course is in exceptional condition, especially compared to scores of courses opened in the last two years.

Rhodes Ranch is one of Vegas' best bargains, meaning it is regularly packed on the weekends. An average of 280 to 300 players hit the links on weekends. Rhodes Ranch also prides itself on its friendly, courteous staff.
