Revere Golf Club - Lexington Course

The Revere at Anthem strives to be golf's most patriotic experience. Opened in 1999, the club was built within the Anthem community located south of Las Vegas in the thriving suburb of Henderson.

The club's motif is designed around Paul Revere's famous "midnight ride." With this, Revere hopes to inspire each golfer as well as educate them on one of America's most heroic revolutionary icons. Today, the club has two courses both named after his famous ride from Lexington to Concord.

Riding from Charleston, Lexington was the first of Revere's stops, warning Americans of plans the British army had, and thus, the original layout was given the name at Anthem. The course is designed by Billy Caspar and Greg Nash and is the duo's fifth collaboration in Las Vegas.

The land is prime, sitting atop one of the highest points in the valley. The dramatic canyon landscape provides players with an intimate, inspirational setting.

The Lexington plays longer than its younger sibling, the Concord, stretching to 7,143 yards and a par 72. Distinct natural elevation changes take place on nearly every hole and the panoramic views of the mountains and Vegas skyline are a welcomed distraction.

A total of 16 holes have elevated tee boxes and many carry over rugged desert canyons. Fairways are wide and forgiving, many lined with manmade mounding. Greens are large and often multi-tiered.

Water comes into play only twice at the Lexington. Wide design variety means the course is never boring and stimulates golfers each hole. There are plenty of short par 4s that are less than 400 yards, par 3s of varied distance and par 5s reachable in two or pure three-shot holes. Each hole has a unique and amazing view, making it a worthy selection as the club's signature.

Since its opening, the accolades have rushed in for the Revere at Anthem. Each course was given a coveted four-star rating by Golf Digest and each was also named a "Best New Course" at the time of its opening.

Off-course amenities are also acclaimed, from the "Top 100" pro shop to Buckman's Grille, voted a top 19th hole by Vegas Golfer magazine. The practice area, properly named "The Battlefield," provides guests with unlimited balls and plenty of natural grass hitting areas.

It's also home to a variety of different golf schools and lessons offered by the club's professionals. The staff's courteous service and luxurious amenities give guests a country club feel.

The 23,000-square-foot clubhouse's entire north side is glass from floor to ceiling, offering stunning panoramic views of the Las Vegas strip and valley at sunset. Both courses at Revere are meticulously groomed from tee to green as well.

Each of Revere's holes has a patriotic or historic name pertaining to Revere's ride. The first hole on the Lexington sets the stage with "Midnight Ride" and moves on to other holes such as the par-5 10th, named "Longfellow" - both for the poet who most heroically depicted Revere's ride as well as for its 625-yard length.

The Lexington at the Revere at Anthem will leave guests with a feeling of freedom, much like Revere's famous ride in 1775.
